CheatCodes - Grow to love self doubt, 13 non-obvious lessons for entrepreneurs, Comfort is a silent killer
Grow to love self doubt
"The feeling of self doubt never goes away, you just grow to love it."
Strongly believe this is a message that everyone should internalise.
Everyone, and I mean everyone, has self doubt - it's inevitable.
Difference is, some people let it shape them, and some people use it to shape their future.
What i mean by this is, you can learn to love self doubt because it can evolve into motivation.
Instead of feeling "oh no I can't do that because I'm not good enough" and then crumbling, you can look at that feeling and go "oh no I can't do that...yet."
Then, when you DO complete the thing, reach the goal, learn the skill, etc. you get this feeling of immense pride and motivation.
THAT feeling is why you can learn to love self doubt and use it to shape your future.
13 Non-Obvious Lessons For Entrepreneurs
I made a ton of mistakes building my company, and learned a ton of lessons.
Here are 13 lessons that weren't clear to me before, but are now.
Study them, so you don't make the same mistakes as me:
People will let you down because people are people. Don’t take it personally.
You are not your business. If things are going well…cool. If things are going badly…cool.
Don’t assume wealthy people are smarter than you.
Don’t take on business partners with no skin in the game.
Separate being busy from being productive.
Remember that business is just people relationships. There’s no skill like “business”, it’s just people management.
You think getting to that revenue number will solve your problems. It won’t. You’d just have different problems.
Ideas matter a lot! Execution isn’t everything. Spend a lot of time at the beginning assessing whether your idea actually makes financial sense.
Money is a measure of the size of the problem. If you want to make more money, solve a bigger problem.
90% of your company value will come from 10% of your team. Do everything you can to keep them.
Schedule time in your calendar to just THINK. 1 hour of focused thinking can be the difference between a great business and a meh business.
You probably started the company to make money. That’s a good reason. Eventually you’d realise you just love the game.
None of this matters. At the end of the day it’s Health > Family » Wealth

Comfort is a silent killer
Make it stand out
Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.
This is a quote from "How To Live" by Derek Sivers.
I read this book recently and it's truly one of the greatest books I've ever read.
Every page is a contradiction of the last but each message is so profound you won't even care.
10 / 10 book.
This quote in particular really stuck with me.
It can be far too easy to get to a "decent" level in life, and all of a sudden kick back and live life on easy mode.
Now for some people, that's absolutely fine, no problem at all.
But for those who have deep rooted ambition, this is a killer.
In the short term, no it won't kill you. In fact you'll relish it.
But in the long term, the pain grows until it transforms into regret - and that's a horrible feeling.
So avoid comfort until you've truly, truly made it.
Win, but never settle.
Your inner ambition will thank you.
