CheatCodes: You’re one win away, how to get customers to ACTUALLY use your product, stop blaming other people.
You're only one win away.
“You’re one win away from everyone saying they saw the vision from the start”
Remember at the beginning, people will doubt you.
They will doubt you because they can’t comprehend in their minds how someone could do what you’re attempting to do.
And then when you win, they’ll say they always knew.
How to get customers to ACTUALLY USE your product.
A question I get a lot from founders is "how do I get people to ACTUALLY use my product/ service?"
My answer... use the I.M.P.A.C.T Framework.
Immediate value:
Show your value as early as possible. for example Facebook realised that if they got you to 5 friends you’d be hooked for longer. Therefore in their first years, everyone in the company focused on this one metric.
Mandatory (Customers can’t live without it):
The best products are those that are sticky and are based on an unworkable problem that customers simply can’t avoid. This is why invoicing software companies for example do so well... every business needs invoicing! How can you make your business mandatory in the eyes of the customers?
Provable value:
Make your value very obvious. For example in my marketing company, one thing we did was make really splashy descriptive post campaign decks which showed the customers all the work we went through. What’s a similar thing you could do in your business?
Affordable (Low to No Cost):
It doesn’t matter if your product is expensive in the long run. Figure out how to make it very low cost or even free at the beginning. Example lets say you sold website design with an average price of £20k, start off with something small like a free web audit.
Clear ROI:
It must be obvious to the customer that if they spend £1 with them, they make you £2. Spend a lot of time thinking about how to make this equation work. This will turn your business into a money printer!
Transparent ( easy to understand and use):
No jargon , no fancy stuff. It should be so simple that the consumer can explain it to colleagues. Leave all the fancy features for later. I know it can be tempting to talk about all your sexy features. Resist that.
I hope this framework will help you land more customers.
Stop Blaming Other People.
Make it stand out
Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.
A great excerpt from "You become what you think" - I love this book!
Who in your lie have you subconsciously given power to?
Is it your boss?
Is it some random stranger on the internet?
Is it your ex?
Don’t let someone have power over you. Own yourself..
Keep Winning!
