CheatCodes: How to use negative energy, find customers for your business, and achieve big goals.

How to use negative energy

The ultimate revenge is the revenge no one knows about but makes your life better.

The successful job, despite those family remarks.

The happy family, despite a traumatic childhood.

The money + lifestyle freedom, despite others saying it couldn't be done.

Go all in.

A fun hack for getting customers for your business.

One of the most frequent questions I get is how to get more customers for any business.

My favourite framework is one I call “The Consumption Framework”

The foundation of this framework is simple...

Rather than you trying to find customers, look for what they’re consuming and insert yourself in there.

There are 3 parts to this framework -Read/Groups/Purchase or RGP for short.

Below are some examples

What do they read?

Let's say you wanted to target nurses for your business.

There is a website called NursingCenter.com. It’s only read by 200,000 people but they’re super valuable.

When I ran my last business, we made $1.2m in 3 months from a niche fashion publication called FashionUnited.

We figured a lot of our potential customers like Asos or Boohoo were reading it to get industry news, so we placed ads in there telling them about Fanbytes.

And it worked insanely well. It positioned us as experts and gave us instant credibility.

Most importantly it brought them to us rather than us going to them.

Figure out what your potential customer is reading, go there and make noise.

What Facebook groups are they a part of?

Facebook groups are a goldmine, they’re a central place for people to debate around a specific topic.

If someone cares enough to join a Facebook group that means they’re deeply passionate about the topic

There are Facebook groups for cars, for watches, and even for gardening!

The trick here is to look for Facebook groups which are highly active and ideally have over 10k people.

Infiltrate those communities, leave helpful comments or make friends with the admins so they promote you.

For example, lets say you sold knitting there is a group called Crochet Easy Tutorial with 321k members where you could promote your site.

Everyone rushes to Facebook ads but is sleeping on groups.

That's your opportunity.

What else are they purchasing before or after me?

Your target customers don’t just buy your product when they want a problem solved.

There is a whole range of things they buy which are related.

Let's say you sold dog leashes.

That same customer is also buying dog food right?

Or they go to the vet a few times a year right?

Go and reach out to dog food companies and propose a collaboration where you help each other.

They promote your leashes whilst you promote their dog food.

Or let's say you’re a makeup artist…

Is there a wedding planner you could partner up with who can bring you customers and in return, you refer them customers?

Get a piece of paper and write down your customer's journey before and after.

You’ll uncover some hidden pockets of revenue!

How to achieve big goals

Make it stand out

Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

This is another excerpt from a book called “Reframe Your Brain” by Scott Adams.

Even after having a bit of success, I struggle with this.

I think about wanting to start a new project and think about the work it’ll take.

Then I come up with some reason why it’s okay I’m procrastinating.

But it's mostly BS.

Start small.

Just move a little rock today.

Keep Winning!
